Just received the ivory version of the Ashby cashmere sweater. Cables are lovely and the cashmere is soft. However, the knit and yarn are too thin, making this pullover so see through that you can see the J. McLaughlin price tag through the knit. No doubt the peach and aqua versions are just as thin. Obviously one has to wear it over something else. I was hoping for something more substantial and better quality from J. McL. I have many cashmere sweaters from lesser retailers that are more substantial than this sweater from J. McL. I am stuck with it as I purchased it on final sale. A $100 mistake, and I’m not happy.
