Bolt Checkout

Bolt is our checkout partner for online credit card payments and helps us offer a faster, more secure shopping experience.

With Bolt we are pleased to offer:

  • Fast & secure checkout with one-click and no passwords.
  • Encrypted account protection so you can shop with better peace of mind.
  • Easy access to your online J.McLaughlin account, including address book and order history.
  • One account recognized across the Bolt network, so you can shop seamlessly across 500+ stores.

The first time you check out with Bolt you'll be asked for your shipping address and your credit card information. If you want, you can choose to save your information with Bolt, at which time we'll send a verification code to your cell phone or email address. Next time you check out, Bolt will already have all your payment and shipping information ready, letting you finish your purchase in seconds. If you ever log out of Bolt, you can log back in quickly using our verification process.

To checkout using your online account you will need a verification code which can be sent to you via text or email. The verification code allows us to offer a secure, one-click checkout experience and replaces your account password.

Passkeys give shoppers a fast and ultra-secure way to log in to their Bolt Account on mobile devices without having to enter a password. Instead, passkeys utilize device-specific methods of verification including:

  • PIN: shopper uses a short code that is stored on their device to log in
  • Touch ID: shopper uses their fingerprint instead of a password to log in
  • Face ID: shopper uses facial recognition instead of a password to log in

Shoppers can easily create a Bolt Passkey at account.bolt.com. Once created, shoppers can use their Bolt Passkey on their mobile devices across the Bolt Network.

Yes! Guest checkout is always available. You do not need an account to checkout, simply click “continue as guest” during checkout.

Bolt offers best-in class security for your personal information, using 128-bit SSL encryption and a Level 1 PCI-DSS compliant backend. Should you ever need to update your Bolt account information or cancel the account, you can always do so through your account here.

International Orders

Yes! We are partnered with Global E, a trusted cross border solution, to offer international shipping. See full list of participating countries below. You can select a shipping country by updating the flag icon on the upper left of your screen. If your country is not listed in the drop-down, then we cannot ship products to your country at this time. After selecting a country we will calculate pricing in your local currency and any duties & taxes at checkout.

We offer free shipping for international orders over $200 USD. Any orders under $200 USD will have a flat rate $20 USD shipping charge. All international orders are shipped with Express Courier (Air) through DHL Express.

Yes. Duties & taxes are determined by the destination country's customs authorities. We require duties & taxes to be paid upfront during checkout to ensure a seamless delivery. If your order delivery is refused you may not be refunded for duties & taxes paid.

Shipping estimates vary by country. We provide a shipping estimate at the time of checkout. Please note estimated delivery timeframe is not guaranteed.

Yes. Promo codes can be applied to an international order through the “Promo Codes” box on the Shopping Cart page. Promo Codes cannot be applied on the Checkout page, hosted by Global E.

Yes. International returns have a flat rate $25 USD shipping cost, and items are eligible for returns within 30 days. Return requests can be started here.

Additional FAQs

  • Gift Cards cannot not be purchased or redeemed on international orders.
  • We do not offer Gift Wrap for international orders at this time.
  • Global E accepts all major credit cards, and additional payment options such as PayPal. All payment options will be displayed at checkout.

Order Status

You will receive an order confirmation via email after your order is placed. You will then receive an email with the UPS tracking number once the order ships. If items are shipped separately, you will receive an email with a tracking number for each shipment. Tracking numbers can also be found by logging into your account or checking our Order Status page. From there you can click the tracking number for progress of your shipment. Please note tracking numbers may take one business day to update with UPS.

Please email customer service at customerservice@jmclaughlin.com and in the subject line write "CHANGE IN MY ORDER" and be sure to include your order number, first and last name and phone number. We will help you through the process of creating a new order.

If an item from your order is out of stock you will receive an email notification. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Gift Cards

  • Gift cards may be purchased online through our site here, or in your local J.McLaughlin store.
  • Gift cards may be used to purchase merchandise in all J.McLaughlin stores, on jmclaughlin.com or over the phone with customer service.
  • Gift cards are non-transferable, non-refundable and are not redeemable for cash.
  • J.McLaughlin does not authorize the resale of J.McLaughlin gift cards. Gift card purchases may be subject to a fraud verification process.

Yes! Gift Cards can be purchased online here. Your Gift Card will be mailed to the shipping address on your order. We do not offer e-Gift Cards at this time.

You can use a gift card online through the Shopping Cart page during Checkout. Enter your gift card number in the "Gift Cards" box and click "Check Balance" or click "Add Gift Card" to apply the payment to your order.

Gift Information

Yes! Gift Wrap can be added to individual items or an entire order by selecting “Gift Options” on the Shopping Bag page.

No, gift wrapping is complimentary online and at all of our J. McLaughlin stores. We provide gift wrapping on Full price merchandise only.

If you would like a gift message included in your order, select “Gift Options” at Checkout and enter your Gift Message. We will write your note on our J.McLaughlin stationery and include it with your gift.

Please specify if you would like to include a gift receipt rather than a regular receipt.

Yes. Please enter a separate shipping address at checkout when prompted to do so.

Payment

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover, as well as Apple Pay and PayPal. We do not recommend using a Debit card on our site.

Charges may take up to 5 days to appear on your credit card. An Authorization for the full amount of the transaction will be placed on your credit card at the time of purchase. The credit card will only be charged as items are shipped. If your order is being shipped from separate locations, you will see separate payment captures for each shipment.

The J. McLaughlin online ordering process that involves credit card information employs Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption. Your order is as safe online as it is in our stores.

J.McLaughlin.com is required by law to charge applicable sales tax for orders shipped to states where J. McLaughlin has stores or other operations. Sales tax will be charged to orders shipped to: AL, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DE, D.C., FL, GA, KY, IA, IL, IN, LA, MA, MD, MI, MO, MN, MS, NC, NE, NJ, NV, NY, OH, OK, PA, RI, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WA, WI, WV, WY. Tax will be calculated at time of checkout and will be included in your order summary.
