Holiday Return Policy

We make it easy. Holiday gifts purchased after November 1st, 2021 are eligible for returns through January 14th, 2022. For returns accompanied by a receipt on or before this date, we are happy to offer an exchange, merchandise credit, or full refund. Items unaccompanied by a receipt will be eligible for a merchandise credit or exchange at the current selling price. Please note that refunds are issued to the original form of payment.


Gift Returns are issued to the original form of payment unless a Gift Return is requested.

To Request a Gift Return by Mail:

  • Include original receipt information and/or original packing slip.
  • Include the Gift Recipient Name, Email, and Address, so we may issue the return under the recipient's account.
  • Use prepaid UPS return label to mail return. Return credit will be issued in the form of a Gift Card, and recipient will be notified via email with Gift Card information.


We will gladly refund or offer merchandise credit in accordance with our below policy.
Items must be:
Returned within 30 days of the delivery date
Unworn, unaltered, unwashed and original tags attached

Note: Items purchased during Final Sale periods and monogrammed items cannot be returned or exchanged.

If you would like to print a new Pre-Paid Return Shipping Label, you may do so through your Order Details page.

Note: For orders being returned from Alaska or Hawaii please contact customer service to receive your pre paid 2 day shipping return label.


Once returns are received, please allow for 3-5 business days for returns to be credited in full.

Items returned according to the return policy may be credited separately. Credit notification emails will be sent for each credit applied to an order.


For Exchanges online, please log on and place a new order after sending back your original shipment to us.

To return in store, bring the item and packing list to any J.McLaughlin store and we will gladly process an exchange for you.


J.McLaughlin gladly honors a one-time price adjustment on full-price merchandise that has been permanently marked-down within 14 days of the ship date if accompanied by the original receipt. Items not purchased at full price are ineligible for price adjustments. No adjustments during limited time promotional events. Items must be purchased during designated dates to receive promotional price.
