Inside J.McLaughlin’s New Manhattan Holiday Windows by Designer Alvise Orsini

  • Four people posing together in a clothing store, smiling at the camera. From left to right: a young man in a white textured blazer over a navy shirt, a woman in a black outfit with a burgundy scarf, a young woman in a beige sweatshirt with a pink ribbon logo and jeans, and an older man in a brown plaid blazer with a light blue shirt. Clothing racks and shelves are visible in the background.

  • This season, it’s been a joy to reveal bespoke holiday window installations at our Madison Avenue and Lexington Avenue flagship stores, designed by Venetian interior designer Alvise Orsini. Marking the first time we’ve created distinctive windows for our New York City flagships, these dual vignettes bring our stores to life through two different yet equally meaningful scenes designed to surprise and delight.

  • Indoor holiday retail display with a mannequin dressed in a textured beige poncho, white pants, and tan boots. The mannequin sits beside a white faux tree decorated with metallic ornaments and greenery. Shelves with neatly folded clothing and festive garlands decorate the store interior in the background.
Vintage wooden skis with colorful ‘Champion’ branding are displayed leaning against each other on a snowy, winter-themed setup with faux snow, firewood, and evergreen garland. Framed retro ski posters hang on the wall in the background.

  • At our Madison Avenue flagship, we’re transporting passersby to a sophisticated chalet retreat, complete with après-ski elements that evoke cozy luxury and mountain-lodge refinement.

  • “It’s all about the nostalgia and places you dream of.” Said Orsini. “In the Madison Avenue store, a beautiful mountain [paired with] Christmas trees—actual trees covered in snow. At Lexington Avenue, we did something that is more ‘indoor’…it’s a live scene of people enjoying the holidays in their home—around a fireplace, talking to each other.”

  • Just twenty blocks south, our Lexington Avenue store embraces the warmth of traditional holiday nostalgia, celebrating timeless décor and cherished seasonal memories. Together, these windows capture the emotional spirit of the season while bringing joy to the communities we’re proud to call home.
