Our Local Pink Communities That We Are Celebrating This October:

We are thrilled to work with and support such amazing organizations making a difference. In honor of breast cancer awareness month, some of our integral hosts and organizations are sharing why they are supporting PINK this October.

“The Bra Couture KC team of cancer survivors and volunteers is ignited by the fear of facing cancer without insurance… we wear pink with pride in October in honor of the over 10,000 uninsured cancer patients we have provided care these past 12 years.”

- Sharon Butler Payne, Founder, Executive Director of Bra Couture KC, Survivor, Kansas City, MO

“I am supporting Lump to Laughter because I am an 18 year survivor of breast cancer and I believe in their mission. No one should face cancer alone and they should never have to choose between paying their mortgage vs their treatments."

- Connie D. Hill, Co-Founder of
Lump to Laughter, Survivor, Wilmington, NC

“As Executive Director of the Breast Cancer Resource Center (BCRC) of Santa Barbara, I wear pink in honor of the courageous clients that we serve. At the BCRC, we offer a hand to grasp as clients stare down an unimaginable path. We provide practical support, guidance, and resources so women can cope with breast cancer and move from surviving to thriving”

- Silvana Kelly, Executive Director of the
BCRC, Montecito, CA.

“I support the Breast Cancer Alliance - in October and throughout the year - in remembrance of my mother and both my sisters, who lost their lives to breast cancer. As a breast cancer survivor, I know from personal experience the importance of early diagnosis and treatment of this terrible disease, which affects women and, increasingly, men of all ages. Support of local organizations like the Breast Cancer Alliance is crucial to creating awareness about breast cancer and funding the research that will, I hope and pray, lead us to a cure.”

- MaryLou Williams, Supporting
Breast Cancer Alliance, Survivor, Darien, CT.
