Legendary design house, Schumacher, visited our Creative Director and Co-Founder Kevin McLaughlin and his wife Barbara, president of The Fund For Park Avenue for an inside look at the two sartorialists’ Upper East Side townhouse.
It’s nothing short of magic— starting with a citron door, up a leopard staircase to floors and rooms full of treasured collections and J.McLaughlin patterns sprinkled in. The top floor retreat, which Kevin says their Architect Doug Larson (who has also designed all 152 of our J.McLaughlin stores) wanted to be like the “top hat” of the house is cotton striped and tented like a Manhattan folly.

Library Splendor: Barbara and Kevin’s reading room is full of collected treasures like their Nantucket baskets above the sofa (a nod to their honeymoon location).
