J.McLaughlin Summer: Wild About Wicker

Wicker Bags are frankly...kind of our thing. We have been in love with all shapes and sizes of the bags for years. We recently nestled into our outdoor sofa with the May/June issue of Veranda Magazine and found their ode to wicker - or as they say " Wicker: Our Eternal Obsession."

Summer Island Hopping: The top-handled wicker bags with stripes and color block are a packing go-to weather headed to Nantucket, Cap Cod, or Martha’s Vineyard.

Poolside: Where you can find us until Labor Day. The Romina Bag will be in tow filled with plenty of SPF and Airpods to tackle our next podcast obsession: the Armchair Expert

On the Cover: Our May Style Guide cover was clad with wicker. This time not in the shape of a clutch, tote or bag but a beautiful bench. Our favorite trend to match? White and vacchetta head to toe. Get the look: Lexi Jean in White, Bella Sandals, Vista Jacket, Kacey Tee, Weslyn Belt

Expert Hostess: Inspired by Julia Amory’s gorgeous tablescape with a wicker tray centerpiece. On The J.McLaughlin #SummerCheckList: set an outdoor table with a printed tablecloth, murano glass, and raffia placemats. Didn’t see the checklist yet? Print it here

In Good Taste: This Sarah Bartholomew designed wicker-clad dining room is the perfect place to end a summer day, with a crisp rose and fresh summer pasta salad, of course.

Brilliant Shades of Blue: Not your average wicker bag- just launched with our July Style Guide the Dunlap Wicker Bag is our take on wicker...in indigo! We see this bag taking us from mid-summer staple to September statement piece.

Side Table Details: The Society Social Spunkie Wicker Lamp is one of our favorite accent pieces from bedside table to entry hall centerpiece.

Quintessentially Wicker: Add a splash of vintage summer style to your outfits

X’s and O’s: Rebecca de Ravanel new Les BonBons earrings in rattan would make the perfect compliment to any of our summer essential dresses, the little white dress, the retro wrap dress, and the throw-on-and-go jumpsuit.
